The Zoo

We went to the Zoo last week, twice in fact but that's another story. I just love the Zoo. And here in Stuttgart we have the Wilhelma Zoo, it is just huge and has so many animals. In order see everything, you need at least half a day, and even then you would find yourself rushing. We went on my birthday, because it was the only thing I really wanted to do that day, well that and have a glass of wine (or two) in the evening.
I heard the other day that the Wilhelma is the only Zoo in Europe that is registered to care for orphaned gorilla babies. There seemed to be baby monkeys everywhere and they were so so sooo cute! I want one.

University Application

I don't know if it's just me but I find this whole application process very trying on my nerves. There is always so much to do, so many people to phone and at least a million web addresses to search through. Plus the fact that 90% of it all is in another language - Very frustrating. I often wonder whether it would be quite as complicated if I was Studying in my own country... or is it just as annoying? So now that I have 'wasted' an entire morning, phoning this person and that person, and emailing Mr. X and Mrs. Y, I'm hoping for some kind of relief..... I think I'll go for a walk with my Camera and see what the neighborhood has to offer! Photos will appear later!
Have a nice lunch xxx

Banksy

Banksy. One of my absolute favourite artists. I love that it isn't known exactly who he is, and I love originality of his work! I read recently that they had found him. I say, leave the guy alone and just enjoy his work, he's not harming anyone and his paintings make even the worst street look like it has a sense of humour!

Early one morning...

One morning about two years ago, Philipp and I decided to get up very early to go out and take pictures. It was freezing cold and we got completely soaked up to the knees but we did it! I'm not a morning person at all, so you can imagine how hard it was for me to wake up at that time and be fit enough to take pictures.
Here are the results:

A little bit about me...

I'm 26, (just) and I live in Stuttgart, Germany.
I come from England, from a tiny village which no one knows. I moved here because of love, because a man decided to come into my life and totally blow me away.....what could I do but follow??? It all sounds rather corny but when you're in love, you don't tend to think very straight. Have no fear, this blog won't be all about how in love I am because that would be boring!!
Since coming to Germany, I have tried my best to learn the language, and I think I did quite well, but there are still those situations where I'm  in English mode (as I like to call it) or just too tired to understand. It can be frustrating.
This blog isn't going to be my diary of life in Stuttgart. It'll be more like a collection of photographs, thoughts, quotes and other things that interest me, maybe you too. Some post may be written in German, in which case I'll translate them into English as well.
Well, I hope you enjoy it and feel free to comment too. I'll try and answer as many as I can!
