I'm having the morning off...

On the whole, I didn't enjoy this week at all. Too much stress for my liking. I had to go to the city pretty much everyday this week, and i still havn't managed to get my long Christmas list finished! Actually I'm sure its not half as long as some peoples but for me it is deffinately enough!! The good thing about going to the city every day, is that I always had the support of Georgie, to help me choose presents, keep me moving past the doors of the shops where I could have spent my entire budget on a piece of clothing for myself - 'No Madi, that is not what Christmas shopping is about!' and for always being up for a coffee in our favourite Café!

I also had to work a lot this week, and it really breaks up my days. If I work in the afternoon, then at least I have the night off but it also means that I dont have time to do some more organising our travel itinerary/cleaning the house/Christmas shopping in the afternoon, and if I worked in the evening, it usually meant getting to bed at around 2 or 3 am, which of course meant that I would sleep in and again, half the day is gone! Grrrr!

It's ok now, because I have just had to accept that I can't possibly do all the things I wanted to do before heading home for the holidays! Yes, Philipp and I are going to be spending Christmas with my parents this year!!! I'm so excited about it, we're only going home for one week but its enough to give me a break from Stuttgart. I love it here but every once in a while I just NEED to get away, especially now that Winter has really set in and its cold, really cold. Even our flat, which I didnt think could get any colder, is like an Arctic region right now! I'm looking forward to the sitting room at Mum and Dads, and the lovely fire that Daddy always keeps going, I'm actually planning to spend an entire week hanging around in there reading, eating biscuits and generally getting in the way! Sorry Daddy but it's inevitable!

Last night we had a girl night planned, we had planned to meet at my house for Sushi and giggles. 10 minutes before the girls were supposed to arrive, I get a messege on my phone, B can't make it! At this point I'm dissapointed, but not going to get down about it. Then G arrived, and we sort of figured out that E isn't going to be coming either. At this point I'm just getting annoyed, because I had tried so hard to fit everything into the day. I had done a seriously quick shop, rushed home, rushed to Philo's for a Steak Burger, (seriously yummy) and then rushed home to tidy the flat before they all arrived. All that effort! But thank goodness Georgie came, otherwise I think I would have gone completely insane. Thank you G! In fact, the evening turned out really lovely, we ate our Sushi while watching a film. And then B turned up suddenly, I think it was because she felt so bad about cancelling on us, she only stayed half an hour but at least she showed up.

I'm sorry but today there will be no Photographs because I was actually only supposed to take the morning off and its already 1.45pm, time to get on with cleaning! Seriously, there are not enough hours in the day!

I hope I still get another opportunity to write a post before we head off to England, however if I don't, I hope you all have a Wonderful Christmas, and I'll be back in the new year, if not before.

Lots and lots of festive hugs to you all!
